You will be pleased with the workmanship and beauty of this piece. The precise and detailed work by the Amish Craftsmen is simply incredible! It is made with 2 1/4" Hard Maple and Black Walnut squares. It is then carefully sanded and finished with a special polyurethane to seal, protect, and enhance the natural wood. Playing pieces are not included. The board measures 18"L by 18"W by 3/4" thick.

What A Board!!!!!

Absolutely Beautiful... This eighteen inch Chess/ Checkers board is down, right beautiful. The craftsmanship on this board is amazing. The board is big and heavy, and I love it. My board arrived in only four days, and the shipping box was completely intact. The Board inside was carefully wrapped in foam to protect it from shipment mishaps; ( A very major concern I have). If you are looking for a great Chess/Checkers board. I would definitely consider this board.
